State wildlife officials are asking anglers not to fish the fasty-emptying Dolores River in southwest Colorado, for the first time ever, in order to protect trout struggling in 75-degree waters. Duncan’s nightclub did not discriminate by race, in fact she had a large sign in the window that read “Everybody Welcome”. It was the result of years of work by Fannie Mae Duncan. The Cotton Club was a popular downtown nightclub that had challenged racial attitudes and divisions for more than a quarter century.
